I'm the ultimate packrat. I have several heavy equipment packs on different characters. And over all 10 of my characters, I usually have only ~15 free inventory spaces total

In addition to 2 or 3 weapon sets per character, I carry - Expert Salvage Kit, ID kit, Salvage kit, Long bow, Lockpicks, Summoning Stones (using Merch. for longer runs), and DP remover. I'll also carry the occasional sweets on my next aspiring GWAMM.

A couple of my characters have Heavy equipment bags full of stuff (My Mesmer's an Armor Junkie, my Ranger's got a nice bow collection, and my Warrior's got several different swords tucked away.)

I start every excursion with only three items: ID kit, expert salvage, and one non-sellable to put in front. Usually it's a storybook.

Since the OP was talking about Vqing, I usually carry said items:

Sup Id Kit
Sup Salvage
Lockpicks
Summoning stones
Merch Summoning stones
Honeycombs
1 Quest Item as a sell block
Various weapons in my Equipment pack (none of my toons have more then 5 at any time on them with the exception of my warrior which i dont use to vq)

This gives me a lot of room to pick up and salvage stuff into materials.. you guys pay way too much for them for me to let them sit on the ground

This is the usual stuff I carry around for vanquishes and quests.

My Rit:

64x Dark Remains
3x Headpiece
1x Different armour set
10x Common Materials (Wood, Iron, Bone, Steel, Chitin, Dust, Granite, Scales, Fibers, Hide)

For most characters it's fairly similar. Possibly some consumables, otherwise it's just keys and/or lockpicks, some weaponsets, a different set of armour, ID and salvage and some miscellaneous drops from whatever area I've been in last. (Confessors Orders, Medals of Honour, Kournan Coins, Dark Remains, Gemstones, Glacial Stones etc.)

For vanqs usually:
Sup Salvage/ID
1-2 reg salvage kits
dp removal
lockpicks
summoning stones
merch stones for multi-zone vanqs
usually have two minis per char and don't bother taking them out
dungeon books if dungeon obviously
whatever is in my equipment pack - usually large or heavy and packed to the brim.

All of my characters have heavy equipment packs where all of their armors/additional headpieces are stored and the selection of weapons I need for that character.

Unused weapons and upgrades and all of the other stuff is stored on mule characters or in the xunlai chest (I bought every chest register). For example, I have one mule character who carries only minipets. One register in the xunlai chest is dedicated to tomes. Another half to dyes.

My backpack on every frequently used character contains only a Sup. salvage and ID kit, summoning stone, lockpicks, dp removal. In case I visit a dungeon or mission, I add the corresponding book. Sometimes, I add more consumables (conset, birthday cupcake, etc.) if facing a difficult task in hard mode. Usually, I have 35-40 free slots in my backpack+bags when I start a task.

Whenever someone doesn't pick up his drops and he leaves at the end or the assignment is expired, I pick it up myself. Every white item counts!

heavy always seemed like a ripoff to me. i just go large. and i never got in the habit of toting id or salvage kits. have been known to buy them from summoned merchs more than a few times though. surprised no one seems to tote about a res scroll. guess everyone uses a hard res or relies on the others humans or h/h. i usually lug around some books because i never remember to put in take out. though if it's uw or fow or doa ,i dump them and hope i get them back before someplace i should have them. as for scavenging the whites left behind, i am compelled to do so. it's not like i need gold (in the game anyway, the real world is a whole 'nother song). it's just like the fact i can't walk by a penny on the ground. i fear the luck monster.

Generally speaking, all my active characters have, at least, the backpack and belt pouch completely empty. Everything else they carry is in a 20-slot Equipment Pack and the 2 10-slot bags.
Everything else is in storage or on mules.

Expert Salvage Kit, Indentification Kit, Rock Candies, All 3 Halloween Candies, Mercantile Summon, Mysterious Summon, a bow, a staff for extra energy, and 6-7 extra mat stacks that I haven't had the time to make room in my storage for.

I usually just bring a flatbow for pulling. In case of alternate armor/weapon sets, those too. Occasionally a reputation book or a few summoning stones.

SUp ID and Salvage. Ded Kuuna.

In my large equip it's a Crown (the one you can get from bison championships), Oppressor's Scythe, Tormented Scythe, Destroyer Scythe, Mallyx's hatred, Full Primeval Set, Stormbow.

Of course my scythes alternate between what I'm using and need.

I usually bring an ID kit a salvage kit,maybe a couple of summoning stones,maybe cons and thats it.
It's not my backpack that is full,but my storage and other 7 char slots :P
idk what is filling them but they are all full i would say around 80% of the stuff there is junk,loads of materials,trophies,party items,variety of summoning stones,loads of mods and wpns that are just laying around... It's HORRIBLE

It is loaded with used mini pets, armor, stones, Nick collectible wannabes, and cool weapons no one else wants and I can not seem to merch (like my 20 non-perfect outcast shields).
